More on the Increase in Corn Future's Prices


I notice today that futures continue to rally for commodity crops.

Berry, Ian, 2010. Corn, soybeans resume rally. The Wall Street Journal, Oct. 11.

The article states that trading was halted on Fri. because prices reached single day limits.

This is a big story because it will affect profits for many large corporations.

These developments could bring a huge change to ethanol production.

I have always questioned if using corn to make ethanol was a good thing. For many reasons, many at MIT believe sorghum is much better for ethanol.
