Mundy, Alicia, 2010. FDA chief focuses on antibiotic resistance, The Wall Street Journal, Oct. 6.
This is an important quote fro the new story,
"'We no longer have effective ways to treat serious infectious disease. Clearly we must encourage more judicious use of these important drugs,' she said."
I think this is a huge, emerging issue. Folks take infectious diseases for granted and fell that once infected an antibiotic will save the day.
