The Economy - Brighter Outlook

Overall, there are some encouraging signs that the US economy is undergoing repair that will lead to continued economic growth in 2011. However, it remains unclear if growth will accelerate as compared to 2010.

In Japan, there seems to be economic stability in Tokyo although it is hard to know for sure.

One person who is involved in consulting mentioned to me that their business is down substantially for 2010. The type of practice for the firm is specific to restructuring situations. Perhaps firms in financial trouble have either emerged or have gone out of business. This could be an indication that repair to the Japanese economy, which was deeply affected by the financial crisis, is underway. However, the strength of the Yen is playing a major role in constraining exports.
